ULI Toronto: Women's Leadership Initiative (WLI) RESET: Connecting Cultural Centres to City Building

I had the pleasure of photographing the ULI Toronto WLI event at Artscape Daniels Launchpad last week. ULI Toronto: Women's Leadership Initiative (WLI) RESET: Connecting Cultural Centres to City Building was a unique interactive event that brought together city-building professionals with cultural organizations at the core of our communities to foster connections, opportunities, and resilience.

Developers, designers, planners, community organizations, and consultants were invited to spend the evening with the city's prominent culture and real estate leaders. Our moderator LoriAnn Girvan, Principal, LoriAnn Girvan Advisors, led our panellists: Heela Omarkhail, VP Social Impact, The Daniels Corporation, Grace Lee Reynolds, CEO, Artscape, Itah Sadu, Managing Director, Blackhurst Cultural Centre formerly A Different Booklist Cultural Centre, and Gabriella Sicheri, VP Development, CreateTO through a powerful fireside conversation about connecting cultural centres and city building in Toronto.

Learn how to work with cultural creatives to create places that we want to live and work in, places that have a positive social impact, connect communities, and drive local economic development.

We also took a tour through Artscape Daniels Launchpad, a one-of-a-kind cultural institution that supports local artists and creative businesses.
