TAS Impact Presents - What’s Old is New Again: Circularity in the development industry

As urban planners and city builders, it is our responsibility to design and implement sustainable solutions that minimize environmental impact.

Recently, TAS_Impact convened a meeting to discuss ways to achieve this goal by examining the principles of a circular economy and a culture of material reuse.

Through the lenses of design and ideation, feasibility, and implementation, Liza Stiff (TAS_Impact ), Marc Ryan (PUBLIC WORK), Tessa Vlaanderen (Dillon Consulting Limited), Tim Coldwell (Chandos Construction) and moderator Alex Bozikovic (The Globe and Mail) explored new ideas that would enable us to build more while polluting less. Emphasizing the importance of incorporating sustainable practices in our design and construction processes, we recognized the power that developers hold to create a paradigm shift at an urban scale.

By prioritizing the circular economy, TAS Impact can not only protect the planet but also promote economic growth and innovation. TAS Impact remains committed to exploring these ideas and implementing them in future projects to ensure a better and more sustainable future for our cities.
